# clsFederalAwardStatus

`clsFederalAwardStatus` owns the status of a single federal award, exposing update-only persistence with the standard optimistic-concurrency guard.

## Purpose
- Updates a federal award's status code ([SQL-046](../../sql/SQL-046.md)); the update cascades to `SaveBenefitPayment()` when the child is dirty and valid.*
